Our Skilled caregivers
Through their years of experience as caregivers, both as a team and individually, Weini, Helen, and Segan have worked alongside many clients to develop and perfect their skills. They strive to help others achieve the highest quality of life and the healthiest version of themselves. Weini, Helen, and Segan have dedicated most of their adult lives to serving others in need and feel very fortunate to have made an impactful difference in so many lives. Aside from the joy they receive from their occupation as caregivers, they enjoy the countless gifts life has to offer! Spending time with God, and their family, experiencing the outdoors, playing tennis, and traveling to different countries, are just a few of their greatest pleasures.
Segan received a Bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University (TTU) where she graduated with honors. She is the recipient of the 2014 Michal and Susan Dell Scholarship. Segan spent her time at TTU as an active member of the student body. She served as President of the multicultural organization, Segan was an active member of the Phi Beta Kappa honors society, and spent her time as a volunteer for the Lubbock ISD Advance Via Individual Determination (AVID) program. She is an advocate for higher education and is currently in pursuit of her medical degree. She has more than nine years of experience in the health field and finds immense fulfillment in her career.
Weini Mehari has worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) for over 25 years. She has spent the first half of her career as a hospital CNA, and the latter half as a CNA within Dallas retirement facilities. She is a true disciple of the Lord and has a calling to serve those in her community. It is with great pleasure and gratitude that she has been able to work so closely with many seniors in the Dallas area. Weini’s desire to fulfill her vocation to the highest degree is the reason Abri Homes exists, today.
